Ending with a bang
I think I changed my mind, instead of eloping, I want to have a New Years Eve wedding.
It would be a black tie affair. I'd wear a short little dress. This one is nice too*. Since I'm only 5 feet, short dresses fit me best. Although I could be persuaded to wear a long (possibly ballgown) dress for the vows, then change into a short dress at the reception.
The bridesmaids, would have more flexibility because I want them to look good too. I'm sure their dresses would involve some sort of sparkles, being NYE and all. As for the fit, it depends on what they want. As for the groomsman, they'd be wearing classic black tuxes.
Typically NYE weddings begin later in the evening. Therefore I'm not sure I'd do appetizers. As for dinner I'm thinking pasta, baked potato, and salad bars with steak/ chicken/ fish. Doesn't that sounds yummy? There is always the possibility of skipping dinner and serving appetizers all night. I doubt I'd do that though. I do think an open martini bar would be spot on though.
I love chocolate/ deserts, so I think I'd have a plethora of choices. Or maybe having a variety of cupcakes would be nice, light, and delirious.
Right before midnight I think bringing out a snack would be good. After all, I'm sure my guest will be tired from all the dancing. Having s'more fixings right before the big count down would be wonderful in my opinion.
I am sold on having a NYE wedding now : )
Just curious, how many bridesmaids/ groomsmen did you have? The magic number I have is 12 (6 of each).

* I feel like my ideal dress would be a mix of both those. I think. I couldn't find a picture of the idea I have in my head.
